5. Data Retention & Security
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure.

8. Website cookies and optional measurement
Use the website’s Cookie preferences control to choose whether to allow optional measurement. You can reject optional tracking and continue to browse and send an enquiry. You can reopen the control to change your choice.
- Essential website functions: security, enquiry processing and remembering your privacy choice support the service you request.
- Self-hosted Umami: our private, cookie-free statistics measure page visits, referring websites, device/browser information and fixed contact, enquiry and booking events. Form contents, URL fragments and URL queries are excluded, except the campaign labels (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content) we add to links we share, so we can see which campaign a visit came from. Umami cookies, session recordings, heatmaps and advertising integrations are not enabled. We run these statistics without asking first, under the UK statistical-purposes exception for analytics that only help us improve the website (Data (Use and Access) Act 2025). They do not identify or follow individual visitors, are not used for advertising and are not shared. You can object at any time: choose Reject optional in the cookie banner, or untick Analytics under Cookie preferences. Collection also stops for supported Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. The technical request is processed by our hosting server; the dashboard does not store the raw IP address.
- Google Analytics: where allowed, this measures website visits and interactions, including enquiry and booking events, to help us understand which services visitors use.
- Google advertising tools: where allowed, these support advertising measurement and related marketing functions.
- Microsoft Clarity: where allowed, this helps us review website interactions and usability.
These providers may process technical information such as device and browser details, page addresses, interactions and online identifiers. Read the Google Privacy Policy and Microsoft Privacy Statement for their processing information. Optional website measurement uses your consent; changing your choice applies to future collection.
9. Consultation scheduling and external contact services
You can choose to load the Calendly scheduling tool or follow the direct booking link. Using that service shares the details needed to arrange your consultation with Calendly, and loads its own website resources. Read the Calendly Privacy Notice before booking. Choosing WhatsApp or an external map link opens that provider’s service and its own privacy arrangements apply.
10. Enquiry records and service providers
When you submit an enquiry, we use your name, email address and any company, telephone, service, subject or message details you provide to review the request and contact you. Enquiries are retained within our website’s WordPress enquiry records as a delivery fallback and sent to our business email system. Website hosting and email services support this processing. Access is limited to people who need the information to handle enquiries and maintain the service.
We review retention against the purpose of the enquiry and any subsequent client relationship or legal requirement. Contact admin@escsupportltd.co.uk if you need information about your enquiry record or wish to exercise your data protection rights. Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive personal information in an initial enquiry.
11. Business prospecting
We sometimes contact UK security and facilities businesses about our compliance services. To do this we use business contact details that are publicly available, for example from Companies House, the SIA public register of approved contractors and company websites, and details given to us during calls. We may hold a company’s name, address, phone number, general or work email address, and the names and roles of its directors or managers. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interests in offering services relevant to the business. We keep these details for up to 12 months after our last contact unless you become a client. You can ask us to stop at any time by replying to our email or writing to admin@escsupportltd.co.uk; we will keep a minimal record so that we do not contact you again. You also have the right to access or delete your data, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
